Looking for a Hawaii luxury vacation home?
Hawaii luxury vacation homes are located on all the different Hawaiian Islands, from Oahu to Maui, Kauai to Kona. Maui vacation homes are usually less expensive than the ones found on Oahu due to the popularity of Oahu for all types of vacationers, from surfers to retirees. Oahu is the most commercial of the islands, so the prices of the Hawaii luxury vacation homes and condos reflect that in higher prices. The least expensive area for vacation homes is Kauai, even though it is beautiful as well and known for its secluded beaches.

Choosing a Location
Oahu is the most popular of the islands, probably best known for the surfing to be found on the North shore. Although it is the most commercial of the islands, the Eastern side is not as built up as the others and offers seclusion that not all tourists are looking to find. Maui is the second most popular island, but still receives about half the number of tourists that Oahu does. It is usually know to be the more expensive and exclusive of the islands, but the recent rise in tourism has brought accommodations for all classes of people, not just the wealthy.
The Big Island is another popular island for those who have more time to vacation, as exploring the island takes time and is not something to rush. One of the key experiences of this island is the Volcanoes National Park which draws many visitors to the island. Kauai, which is a small island in the group, is the least built up commercially, but still has plenty of vacation homes and other rentals to choose from. The inhabitants of the island are wary of tourism, not wanted the island to be damaged, but still offer many souvenir and other shopping options to tourists. Kauai also has many wonderful beaches and spectacular scenery to visit and is a surf center as well, like Oahu’s North beach.

Pricing
Hawaii’s luxury vacation home pricing depends on the location of the home. If it is located on the beach, then the price goes up. If the location is on Kauai rather than Oahu, the price is usually lower. The average price for a Hawaiian luxury vacation home that sleeps about ten people is around one thousand dollars per day. These homes usually have about five bedrooms and almost that many bathrooms and have many different amenities for people to choose from. One such amenity is usually a pool and Jacuzzi. Pricing is almost always less when the home is rented for a full week rather than a number of days. Some Hawaiian luxury vacation home rentals are even available for an entire month, giving the renters plenty of time to enjoy all the islands have to offer in a home away from home.

The Beautiful Papakea Resort on Maui Island

The Beautiful Papakea Resort on Maui

I am often asked what is the best resort on Maui? That’s like asking who is sexier, Jessica Alba or Jessica Simpson! The answer is, it’s all a matter of personal taste.
Personally, my favorite Maui resort is Papakea Resort in Honokowai. Papakea Resort has three lighted tennis courts, two 18-hole putting greens and two ocean front shuffleboard courts. There are also two swimming pools, each with jet spa and sauna.
Papakea Resort has 13 acres of exotic tropical landscaping, beautifully manicured lawns, tranquil lagoons with Koi fish and foot-bridges. There are coconut palms scattered around the resort and you will see spectacular sunsets over the beautiful islands of Lanai and Molokai.
Papakea Resort is located near championship golf courses, world class shopping and wonderful dining places. It is very nicely located so you are a very short drive from Kapalua and Napili Bays to the North and historical Lahaina town to the South. The largest grocery store on the island is just a few blocks away so you can stock up on food to prepare in your condo.
Papakea Resort has 11 buildings that house 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condos. All of the buildings have been situated to give you great views of various types. Some of the condos are situated so they have ocean front views. These condos are approximately 30 feet from the ocean. Most of the condos have at least an ocean view that looks out towards the beautiful Pacific ocean. Some of the condos are garden view condos and, believe me, those are not bad views at all. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and it is a very relaxing view.
Papakea Resort has condos in varying degrees of upkeep. Some of them are maintained better than others but that is the way it is at any Maui resort. I will say this, though…you will not have a bad experience if you stay in a privately-owned condo. All of the condos we have access to at Papakea Resort are top-of-the-line Maui condos and they are maintained very nicely! Just stick with privately-owned condos on Maui and you should have a fantastic experience!

Hawaii Vacation Rentals
If you’re dreaming of a holiday filled with warm, sunny weather, gorgeous sandy beaches and stunning scenery, why not head to the US state of Hawaii? You can visit the beautiful islands of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Big Island – and each one has so much to offer its visitors.
What’s more, there is a great range of self catering properties available here, so it’s an ideal destination for a holiday property rental.
There is something for everyone in Hawaii. Not surprisingly, it’s a beach lovers’ paradise. But there are also many places to explore, tourist attractions to see and various sporting activities available here.
Kauai, which is also known as the Garden Island, is a great destination for those keen on outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, golfing, wind surfing, horseback riding and scuba diving. But if you’re looking to do something less energetic, you can simply chill out and sunbathe on one of Kauai’s delightful beaches.
The island of Oahu is another great Hawaiian destination. Here you will find Honolulu, the capital of the state of Hawaii. Honolulu itself boasts plenty to see and do, including museums, historic buildings, art galleries, restaurants and bars. While you are there, try to visit Iolani Palace. Also in Honolulu is the Ala Moana Center, the world famous shopping centre which is a must-visit for all those who are looking to enjoy some retail therapy!
While you are staying on Oahu, you should also check out the world famous Waikiki Beach, which is an ideal place to learn how to surf.
Molokai is another delightful Hawaiian island which is well worth a visit. If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and want to just relax during your holiday, this is the ideal holiday destination. You will find peace and tranquility in Molokai, which is also known as The Friendly Island.
If you are a keen golfer, you should head to the island of Lanai, as it has two championship golf courses! And on Lanai you can see Keahiakawelo (also known as Garden of the Gods), which is an amazing landscape with various shapes and sizes of rocks and boulders.
There’s also the Hawaiian island of Maui. This is a good location to go humpback whale watching. You should be able to see the whales around Maui from mid-December to mid-May each year. You can take a boat trip and, hopefully, will catch a sighting of these incredible creatures during your visit here.
Hawaii’s Big Island, meanwhile, is a great island to explore. Here you can visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which is a popular tourist attraction.
Not surprisingly, Hawaii is a perfect wedding and honeymoon destination. This is a truly beautiful part of the world to get married and to spend an idyllic honeymoon, too.
But whether you’re planning on tying the knot or not, Hawaii makes a superb location for any holiday, whether it’s a family vacation, a sporting trip or a more relaxing break.
These beautiful Hawaiian islands have something to offer everyone. And no matter which island you choose, you are likely to have a fun and relaxing time during your holiday.
